Nystagmus is an involuntary movement of the eyes - usually from side to side, but sometimes the eyes oscillate up and down or even in a circular motion. Nystagmus is the involuntary lateral movement back and forth of the eyes. It may be so mild that it goes unnoticed or it may be quite severe and substantially reduce ones’ vision. It would be like shaking a camera back and forth, and creating a very blurry photograph.
